What is PHP?

PHP is  a high level language which is used to develop dynamic websites/applications. As i think you all are familier with HTML in HTML you need to make every page of a website separately but in PHP it is not like that. In PHP we can handle a lot of the website content in a single page in which the content changes according to the user's interaction with the page. So PHP saves a lot of hard work!

What will we need during this learning session?

You will need the following things:

1. Xamp Server
2. Text Editor

Note: If you are unfamiliar with Xamp server you should watch the video.

Recommendations:
Instead of using notepad we recommend you to use notepad++ because it is specially made for programmers and is a very useful text editor.
